about

marna

Marna Schindler’s work focuses on the energy within the subject. In her contemporary landscapes and still-lifes, forms are explored, reduced, and re-envisioned. Her compositions invite the viewer to settle in and feel the work, finding sensory experience in shape, line, and color. Marna prefers to keep her work spontaneous and simple, with unrestrained brushstroke and a fluid, intuitive approach. Seeking a spiritual communication through art, Marna’s work continues to find its own unique abstraction.

Marna is a member of the San Diego Art Institute, the Allied Artists Association of San Diego, and the Coronado Art Association. Her work has been shown at San Diego’s Museum of the Living Artist, the Riverside Art Museum, the Del Mar Art Stroll, San Diego ArtWalk, and Tempe Festival of the Arts. In spring 2007, Marna is honored to be chosen as the Featured Artist for Tempe Festival of the Arts. Her work has found a home in corporate and private collections across the U.S. and Canada.
